This article is really for anyone wanting to live better and stay healthy. Here are 5 apps you need for staying healthy, mind, body & soul. When you’re busy and don’t have much time, which seems to always be the case right after New Year’s resolutions (if you’re still keeping up with those) and new workout programs, these five apps can keep you motivated and staying healthy.

The workout for people on the go. This is app leaves you no excuses. Which is kind of a bummer sometimes, because excuses can be very helpful. Amazing. That’s all I can say.

Actually that isn’t true because I’m about to launch into a paragraph of why this is so amazing. This is an app that will keep you’re brain healthy. If you don’t have this app already, you definitely need to get it. Thousands of different talks, given by some of the coolest people on the planet, all about twenty minutes, right at your fingertips. From solving poverty to the latest bio-fabrication experiments to dieting ideas to music to drug research to the story of swimming all the way from Cuba to Key West, these amazing speeches will inspire and challenge you. It’s one of the best ways to learn and be inspired. I highly recommend you get this app.

4. Prayer Calendar

One of the best ways to stay healthy and happy is being grateful, and aware of the people around you. It’s so easy to get focused on yourself and your own problems. This amazing app by the Voice of the Martyrs gives you a specific daily prayer request for the persecuted church around the world. Whether it is for the president of Azerbaijan or a local pastor in Afghanistan, you can remember the persecuted Christians in your prayers. This prayer calendar also gives you the option of a reminder at whatever time of day is best for you. It’s a wonderful way to stay thankful and connected, through prayer, with the global church.

5. RunKeeper

This snazzy app is the perfect companion for your running. You can track your runs and choose friends to be on the app with you, so you can see each others workouts and progress and encourage each other through comments. This is perfect if you are training together but don’t live in the same town. A definite must for any runner. RunKeeper will help you stay motivated and on track.
